EDITORIAL INTERNSHIP
Get a behind-the-scenes look at how a magazine is created and find out if this is the career for you. Interns will learn to pitch and write stories. The internship offers opportunities to interview inspiring Baton Rougeans and earn bylines covering topics as varied as food arts entertainment and style.

Pitching stories for our print magazine weekly e-newsletter and websiteWriting assigned features and briefs for print and webSecuring photos and/or multimedia for articles as requiredResearching editing and fact-checking contentArchiving editorials for our websiteThe ideal candidate:
Is a college student studying journalism or related fieldIs eager to learn about Baton Rouges restaurant arts and entertainment scenes Is familiar with WordPress or eager to learn about itPossesses strong use of AP styleHas fluid interviewing and writing skillsIs detail orientedWorks well in a fast-paced deadline-driven environmentCommitment:
This is a paid opportunity and it can be applied toward college credit. Commitment is targeted at 8-10 hours per week.

Photographing assignments for our print magazine weekly e-newsletter and websiteConceptualizing unique and creative ways to tell a story through photosLearning how to style food and products for editorialsAttending and photographing eventsWriting photo cutlinesInputting metadata and preparing photos for productionThe ideal candidate:Is a college student studying photography photojournalism or related fieldIs eager to learn about and photograph subjects from Baton Rouges restaurant arts and entertainment scenesIs open to constructive criticism and hoping to grow as a photographerIs detail-oriented and organizedWorks well in a fast-paced deadline-driven environmentCommitment:
