Three years of related photographic experience.Licensure, Certification, and/or RegistrationTechnical certification preferred.Essential FunctionsPerforms photomicrography and photomacrography with bright field, dark field, phase contrast, and fluorescence.Plans the composition of the photograph, analyzing the subject material and selecting the angle, lighting, and background to enhance desired or eliminate unwanted features.Provides technical guidance and instruction to members of the faculty and staff in medical photography techniques and procedures.Develops film, makes prints, and produces slides from charts, books, and slides to be used for teaching purposes.Maintains files of photographs and processed film.Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.Skills / QualificationsExcellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.Competence in photographic operations demonstrated through professional portfolio.Knowledge of photography techniques and proper use of equipment.Strong computer skills.Basic medical knowledge.Ability to operate technological equipment with attention to detail.Work EnvironmentClean, comfortable office environment. May take photos in a laboratory setting.
