Assistant Buyer

We are a luxury home furnishings, rugs & accessories company looking for a proactive, personable, highly motivated and organized Assistant Buyer. The Assistant Buyer will be responsible for supporting the Junior and Senior Buyers in managing and overseeing multiple functions across the Lighting and Accessories team. This position will be base out of our NYC retail location. Essential Functions • Work with Senior Buyer during the product development phase while supporting seasonal concepts and needs • Communicate with overseas vendors to define product requirements for design and sourcing to ensure on time delivery • Responsible for SKU setup/ SKU maintenance • Responsible for handling all pricing: enter and maintain all price and cost changes, working closely with Senior Buyer • Responsible for sample management • Responsible for product photography management and maintenance to include reviewing product photography proofs and communicating with marketing teams in order to ensure all product is up-to-date on company webpage • Correspond with cross- functional partners on any product related issues. • Willing to absorb as much knowledge and understanding of the business and system, willing to share knowledge amongst peers.
