This position supports the graduate program in the department and manages the related facilities and events, the flow of administrative information and corresponding curricular and academic affairs. The Assistant Chair will have a wide latitude for independent judgment while working seamlessly with the graduate cohort, faculty, and department staff and supervising student workers. Support the graduate students in their academic pursuits, liaising with faculty, staff and administrators across the institute. MFA or equivalent in art, design, or a related discipline is preferred. The Institutes impact expands beyond its 25-acre residential campus in Brooklyn to cutting-edge facilities throughout the borough, a landmark building and public gallery in Manhattan, as well as an extension campus, Pratt Munson College of Art and Design in Utica, New York.
