Assistant Professor of Photography/Video

The School of Art at the University of Houston, a Tier-One public research university, is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Photography and Video program to begin Fall 2026. The successful candidate will have an active exhibition practice with the potential to achieve national and international recognition and a developing record as a teacher and mentor. We are open to actively practicing artist-scholars who have a terminal degree, including an MFA or PhD, in photography or video practice or history. Minimum Qualifications Terminal degree is required, as is an active exhibition record or other evidence of creative practice and its critical reception. The candidate should also be able to demonstrate skills and experience teaching at the college level.
