Assistant Store Manager

Do you have retail experience and are tired of working for large companies who don't care about you? Well, you're in luck because Capitol Thrill is hiring an Assistant Store Manager and we'd love to develop your knowledge on how to run a successful retail business. We're currently looking for the perfect candidate to help us grow our new retail store location on Capitol Hill. Job responsibilities: \\- Exhibit hospitality while greeting and interacting with customers \\- Be self-motivated and work well both alone and as part of team \\- Ability to multi-task and work quickly and efficiently \\- Anticipate customer needs and be a suggestive seller and upsell \\- Manage the cash register (experience with Square preferred) and processing payments \\- Set and sustain sales goals \\- Provide customers with advice about sales and promotions \\- Clean and restock the store throughout the day, before opening and after closing \\- Both pack and ship online orders \\- Assist Store Owner with buying and merchandising \\- Maintain a clean work environment while ensuring items are restocked and organized \\- Manage online inventory, product listings and photography (via Square) Required experience: \\- Be responsible, dependable and punctual \\- Possess a keen eye for detail \\- Advanced customer service skills \\- Basic math skills, calculator use is acceptable :) \\- The ability to use a Square cash register \\- Strong level of professionalism at work \\- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills \\- Patience when dealing with difficult customers \\- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills \\- Strong level of organization Experience with Illustrator/Photoshop for in-store signage a plus! The Assistant Store Manager position is part or full time (28-40 hours) depending on the candidate.
