Role Description The Associate role at Kids at Heart Photography is a part-time, on-site position based in Trenton, NJ. In this role, the Associate supports photography sessions by helping set up equipment, organizing props, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for children and families. Daily tasks include greeting clients, assisting with basic administrative duties such as scheduling and paperwork, and helping manage the flow of sessions to keep appointments on time. The Associate may also support basic photo selection, packaging, and delivery, as well as maintaining a clean and orderly studio or on-location setup. This position requires reliable attendance, collaboration with photographers and other team members, and a professional, friendly approach with clients.

Qualifications

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with children, families, and school staff.Organizational and time-management abilities, including handling multiple tasks during busy photo sessions.Comfort working in a fast-paced, on-site environment and assisting with basic physical tasks such as setting up equipment and props.Attention to detail and reliability in handling paperwork, order forms, and client information.Professional communication skills and a courteous demeanor in person, by phone, and via email.Willingness to learn photography-related processes and follow established safety and quality guidelines.Availability to work part-time hours, which may include early mornings, weekdays, and occasional seasonal peaks.Previous experience in customer-facing roles, education, childcare, events, or photography is beneficial but not required.High school diploma or equivalent preferred; background checks may be required depending on client settings (e.g., schools).
