Associate photographer and workflow manager

The role involves two aspects: photographing families, especially ones with kids under age five, and managing the workflow of the client experience from beginning to end. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in a professional photography studio setting, which could include working for themself. They love to learn and challenge themself. We are looking for the person who sees this as their dream job and is looking for a company to grow with. Responsibilities include: \\- communicating with clients on all platforms (phone, email, social media) as well as in-person \\- helping schedule appointments \\- running credit card payments and entering info into the computer database \\- directing a family session from beginning to end, be able to make people feel relaxed and be able to read body language, especially children’s \\- helping retouch photos of people and pets as needed \\- cropping, sharpening, and prepping digital images for final orders such as collages and wraparound canvases \\- maintaining an orderly workflow of paperwork \\- opening deliveries from the lab and nicely repackaging them \\- helping clean and organize the studio and office areas, which includes things like vacuuming and wiping down toys \\- running errands on occasion as needed Qualifications: \\- proficient with Canon cameras and Mac computers \\- skilled in Adobe software, especially Photoshop and Lightroom \\- excellent interpersonal skills and high emotional quotient \\- extreme patience, especially with children \\- motivated, ability to flourish with minimal guidance \\- highly detail oriented \\- experience with printing digital images \\- comfortable working on their own for long periods of time \\- able to lift 50-60 pounds on occasion \\- a portfolio of finished work, at least 20 samples, including before and after of retouching \\- a positive, can-do attitude and problem solver \\- must be able to accurately track and manage multiple projects simultaneously \\- uses proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation Additional details: \\- 90 day trial period \\- must be available Tuesday through Saturday \\- submit a cover letter, resume, and portfolio for consideration We look forward to meeting you!
