Athletics Photography Assistant

Brown University Athletics is seeking an enthusiastic Athletics Photography Assistant to join our team and help showcase the excitement of our athletic programs through images. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in the fast-paced world of sports photography while working with a talented and dedicated team. If you have a strong portfolio, excellent time management skills, and a passion for athletics, we encourage you to apply!\n\nCapture high-quality and impactful photographs of Brown University athletic events and athletes.\n\nWork closely with the Athletics Photography Coordinator to identify key moments and develop a shot list for each event.\n\nEnsure all equipment is properly set up and functioning before each event.\n\nEdit and retouch photos to meet the standards and style of Brown University Athletics.\n\nCollaborate with the social media and marketing teams to provide engaging visual content for various platforms.\n\nMaintain a strong understanding of Brown University Athletics' brand and visual guidelines.\n\nStay up-to-date with current photography trends and techniques to continuously improve the quality of photographs.\n\nManage and organize a large volume of photos in an efficient and timely manner.\n\nCommunicate effectively with coaches, athletes, and other staff members to ensure all photography needs are met.\n\nAdhere to all safety protocols and regulations while capturing photos during athletic events.\n\nAssist with setting up and breaking down photography equipment before and after events.\n\nAttend regular meetings with the Athletics Photography team to discuss upcoming events and strategies for capturing the best shots.\n\nTake initiative to suggest creative ideas and locations for photo shoots.\n\nMaintain a professional and positive attitude while representing Brown University Athletics.\n\nBe willing to work evenings and weekends, as most athletic events take place during these times.
