Auction Catalogger (Photography & Listing Specialist)

Responsible for preparing auction inventory through professional photography, cataloging, and listing creation. The primary focus is producing consistent, high-quality, auction-ready images while supporting the full cataloging process across platforms like LiveAuctioneers, Proxibid, and Bidsquare.

Core Responsibilities:

Photography & Visual Presentation (Primary Focus)

Capture high-quality, auction-ready images across a wide range of items

Stage and present items to highlight detail, condition, and historical significance

Maintain consistent lighting, backgrounds, and composition standards

Edit images for clarity, accuracy, and platform optimization

Create imagery that helps tell a story and increase perceived value

Cataloging & Listings

Assist in building and organizing auction lots, from image to data

Write or support creation of accurate, compelling item descriptions

Upload and manage listings across auction platforms

Ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness across all entries

Inventory Handling & Support

Safely handle and prepare items for photography and sale

Assist with inventory organization and workflow

Support auction setup, final checks, and execution as needed

Ensure safety of HIGH value one of a kind historical objects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience in product photography (professional or strong portfolio required)
Strong understanding of lighting, composition, and detail capture
Proficiency with editing software (Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.)
High attention to detail and consistency
Ability to work onsite in a fast-paced, team environmentPreferred

Skills/proficiencies:

Experience with auction platforms or e-commerce listings
Interest in militaria, antiques, or collectibles
Prior experience writing product descriptions or catalog entries would be GREAT!
