Calling Educators and Teaching Artists The Rural Arts Collaborative, River Arts, and Catamount Arts seek teachers in year-round creative enrichment programs. Media We seek skilled, versatile artists and educators with experience in the arts, including but not limited to: Movement Theater Nature Connection Printmaking Photography Natural Crafts Poetry/Spoken Word Graphic Design Video/Animation Painting Drawing Sculpture Fiber arts Ceramics Variety of positions available Instructors will serve ages based on experience/preference Afterschool program leaders Vacation camp and summer camp instructors In-school residencies Ongoing art instruction for adults and adults with disabilities Interdisciplinary arts instruction and media/technology curriculum integration Teaching assistants Successful teaching artists will have the following skills Ability to create class outlines including curricula and syllabi Excellent planning, organizing, and communication skills Ability to work with a Programs Team for design and mission alignment Ability to work independently with attention to detail including how and when to implement program impact evaluation Excellent classroom management skills Ability to receive constructive feedback and integrate it into future delivery Pay Pay rates can range from $15 - $25 per hour depending on experience, time commitment, and arrangement with the hiring organization. Hiring Timeline Application deadline Monday, May 9 at 5 pm Call screenings and interview scheduling May 12 - 16 In-person interviews including hands-on teaching demonstrations May 16 - 20 Extension of offers from organizations May 23 - June 1 About Our Organizations Rural Arts Collaborative The Rural Arts Collaborative is 501(c)3 nonprofit organization comprised of artists, community members, and businesses working together to design, support, and deliver creative programs to youth and adults living in and visiting Hardwick, Greensboro, and Craftsbury, Vermont. River Arts River Arts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community arts organization based in Morrisville, VT, with a mission to enrich the community through the arts. Catamount Arts hires teaching artists to lead educational programming for all ages, preschool through adult, on site at the Catamount Arts Center, in schools, in local afterschool programs, in day camps, and in other community spaces.
