**Development and Fundraising** • Administration and supervision of multi-faceted department including all staff, initiatives, programs, communications, public relations, events, budgets, expenditures, financial goals, individual and group relationships • Secure major and planned gifts; oversite and consultation of grant-related activities and annual giving program • Develop a vibrant culture of donors, volunteers and community partners in line with a dynamic communications strategy to achieve a very high level of philanthropic engagement and satisfaction, as objectively and frequently measured and continuously improved • Collaborate with Interfaith executive and program leadership, board of directors, community leaders, major donors, leadership volunteers, faith groups, local business and community partners • Create, plan and effectively implement revenue and non-revenue producing special events • Identify current and potential major donors through research, existing database, current gifts and events • Build and cultivate relationships with current and potential major donors through email, phone, written correspondence, face to face visits and other appropriate means • Ask for and secure major gifts, ranging from $1,000 to $1 million+, and appropriately close and acknowledge charitable gifts of all levels • Create letters of inquiry, grant proposals, and funder reports that are directly related to major gifts • Assign major donors to appropriate contacts within Interfaith; implement personal assignments and manage assignments of others to move each forward in a moves-management format • Provide recognition and acknowledgment to all major donors- past, present and future-through personalized acknowledgement, materials and public mediums and donor-related events • Create and/or enhance stewardship letters, major gift proposals, donation requests, thank you letters, and communication pieces to private donors • Document donor contacts through contact notes and paper files as appropriate • Recruit, support and involve leadership volunteers in all areas of fundraising • Plan and execute annual Honoring the Spirit of Giving major donor recognition event, as well as periodic smaller donor acknowledgment events; identify invitation list, prepare and send invitations, make contacts to encourage attendance, host event and follow up through personal acknowledgement and/or appointments • Plan and execute Taste of Interfaith breakfasts, lunches and dinners; identify invitation list, prepare and send invitations, make contacts to encourage attendance, host event and follow up through personal acknowledgement and/or appointments • Directly assist the Chief Executive Officer in major gifts and planned gifts, and other specific assignments • Conduct tours of the agency for potential donors/volunteers and other interested parties, including both individuals and groups • Give public presentations to major donors, faith communities, local groups and service clubs, and corporations • Oversee the entire donor and volunteer data base process including processing of all checks, credit cards, on-line gifts, matching gifts, recurring donations, planned gifts, entity records, electronic fund transfers, stock gifts, brokerage transactions, in-kind gifts, vehicle donations, payroll deductions and maintaining records as needed • Coordinate the process with finance and development staff to ensure completeness and accuracy of data and funds raised **Government and Private Grants** • Establish relationships with government funders of all types and appropriately move forward towards asking for funding • Identify current and potential government funders through research, existing database, current gifts and events • Build and cultivate relationships with current and potential government funders through email, phone, written correspondence, face to face visits and other appropriate means • Ask for and secure government support of all sizes and appropriately close and acknowledge grants and contracts of all levels • Create letters of inquiry, grant proposals, and funder reports that are directly related to government funding • Assign government grants and contracts to appropriate contacts within Interfaith, implement personal assignments and manage assignments of others to move each forward in a moves-management format • Provide recognition and acknowledgment to all government funders past, present and future-through personalized acknowledgement, materials and public mediums and donor-related events • Manages grant writing for all letters of inquiry, grant proposals, and funder reports; oversees the writing and editing of all grant-related materials • Works closely with Program Team to define goals, objectives, and program evaluation measures in order to produce high quality and competitive proposals • Works closely with the Executive Team to develop new programs, create compliance and evaluation measures, and coordinates grant applications for various departments • Represents Interfaith in the community by building and maintaining relationships with local agency partners, as well as private foundation funders • Engages with and serves as a liaison to leadership at funding organizations in order to strengthen relationships and solicit invitations to submit proposals • Researches and identifies new and renewal funding opportunities whose areas of interest align with Interfaith’s mission • Develops budgets for proposals as needed in partnership with Executive and Program Teams • Manages joint funding applications with local nonprofits and government agencies • Effectively manages and maintains database systems to accurately and efficiently track foundation history and grant proposal status, as well as grant reporting deadlines, stewardship activities, and renewal applications; maintain comprehensive paper file records • Creates, edits and enhances stewardship letters, donation requests, and other communication pieces to private donors • Provides leadership to grants team; conducts meetings and trainings to ensure grants compliance and to enhance staff skills • Monitors all staff job performance, completes evaluations, ensures on-going staff training and development, and participates in the hiring of staff for department **Communications** • Administration, creation, initiate, maintain, revise, supervise, staffing of multi-faceted communications, marketing, advertising and event policies and procedures and its day-to-day operation and related activities to enhance the image of the organization • Monitor, and as necessary, coordinate communication activities of other programs and departments to remain abreast of the status of all activities and to identify trends • Identify potential areas of communications vulnerability and risk, develop and implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future • Provide reports on a regular basis and, as directed or requested to keep management informed of the operation and progress of communication efforts • Oversee communication needs related to private and government grants and contracts to include, proposal writing, review, post-award publicity, kickoff meetings • Monitor the performance of the communications program and related activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness • Create, produce, and disseminate printed publications for development, education, programs and administrative purposes (newsletters, annual reports, brochures, flyers, direct mail and event invitations) • Create, produce and disseminate compelling press releases, build and manage relationships with media outlets • Create and produce compelling stories and photography for print and digital communications • Support the creation of organizational brand collaterals for organization • Photograph, film and document special events, special donors and programs, coordinate production of material produced • Create and coordinate production schedules and maintain relationships with vendors, photographers, graphic designers, media outlets, community partners, corporate partners, faith partners and others for purpose of gaining coverage in various communications platforms Coordinates the volunteer data base to include volunteer schedules, volunteer histories, mailing list, hours, communication, and interplay with Blackbaud, segmenting, background checks, interns, drug screening and all files • Manages and is responsible for the volunteer and intern files, photographs, contact information, assignments complete with required documentation corresponding to electronic information • Manages the creation and maintenance of volunteer schedules for all programs • Responsible for responding to telephone calls and email messages pertaining to new volunteer services and opportunities • Manages the creation, recruitment, implementation and evaluation of all minor drives and volunteer groups • Maintain constant and close communications with current, potential and former volunteers by mail, email, phone, and in person • Assist with responding to all volunteer requests from staff • Organize (plan, schedule, facilitate, determine staff support) group volunteer projects, recruiting necessary volunteers and working closely with program staff to provide onsite supervision and guidance. **Faith Relations** • Provides leadership and supervises all activities; networks with congregations, faith-based organizations and individuals by mail, email, phone, and in-person visits, conducts meetings and trainings, and continuously monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of program service delivery methods and identifies opportunities for improvement • Organize, plan, schedule, facilitate, determine staff support on faith related activities including recruiting necessary volunteers, program staff and others for on-site supervision and guidance • Cultivates strong relationships with member congregations and related individuals while continually building the relationships with current and recruiting new member congregations • Identifies lay representatives for each member faith, builds relationships and maintains current contact information • Develops opportunities for volunteerism, service projects, and donations from congregations to support Interfaith programs, and works closely with staff to ensure these opportunities are followed up promptly and appropriately according to agency policies • Works closely with communications department to create and implement consistent high-quality communications with congregations and the related individuals and families identified • Identifies and responds personally to faith community needs for supportive services and opportunities to increase engagement • Recruits and trains staff on Interfaith referral processes and program services • Ensures that referrals for client services from the faith congregations are handled promptly and appropriately according to agency policies • Maintains and updates database records for congregations • Leads the creation of all General Membership Meetings and promotes attendance by faith leaders and lay representatives • Creates opportunities for congregational programs and events that further Interfaith’s goals • Attends Clergy Associations, faith-based organizations, and assigned committees for the purpose of cultivating new opportunities to further the Interfaith mission • Develops opportunities for Interfaith information booths and speakers to be present at weekend worship services and mid-week gatherings at congregations • Gives public presentations and staffs Interfaith information booths at congregations • Conducts tours of the agency for faith leaders, staff, and members • Encourages clergy and congregational representative attendance at membership meetings, clergy appreciation events, annual meetings, and other special events • Identifies opportunities to arrange collaborations between and among member faiths • Acts as the liaison between the faith organizations and Interfaith
