Communications Manager

Reports to: Associate Director of Marketing THE ORGANIZATION The Guthrie Theater engages exceptional theater artists in the exploration of both classic and contemporary plays connecting the community we serve to one another and to the world. THE POSITION The Communications Manager will serve as a press representative for Guthrie Theater productions and presentations, amplifying the work both on and off the stage and fielding media inquiries about Guthrie programming and initiatives. This role will also support the Marketing team by contributing story ideas for internal and external publication as well as writing and editing copy that furthers the goals of the department and organization. • Respond to media requests for information or photography in a timely fashion. • Transcribe and edit interviews with staff and artists as assigned.
