Creative Social Media Photographer

This hybrid role is based in our office located in San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, or Nashville, with a target start date of April 2026. While we primarily seek someone on the West Coast, outstanding candidates from Nashville or New York are also encouraged to apply. Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead the complete content creation process (photo, video, graphic) for on-site shoots, including planning, execution, post-production, and delivery.Collaborate with account teams and clients to align mission objectives and develop shot lists and schedules.Manage pre-production logistics such as hiring models/influencers, securing props, and organizing timelines.Supervise on-site management of talent and vendors to ensure smooth execution.Execute post-production tasks (editing, retouching, cropping) using Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.Organize and maintain agency archives to facilitate easy access to client content.Work closely with team members to achieve project goals through compelling visuals and thoughtful text.Utilize social analytics and paid content expertise to refine strategy and brainstorm engaging posts.Ensure client brand aesthetics and voice are consistently represented in all delivered content.Review mockups and captions, providing insightful edits for monthly content calendars.Oversee external client edits and ensure timely publication to Instagram and Facebook.Lead social media updates during both internal and client meetings.Manage client expectations regarding delivery deadlines and imagery requests effectively.Facilitate clear project communication, ensuring all stakeholders are prepared for execution.Act as a resource for cultural trends, platform updates, and industry developments.Support new business development and utilize professional connections for agency networking.Represent our agency at industry conferences, workshops, and events.Perform additional tasks and projects as required.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.4+ years of professional experience in photography, videography, and content production.1+ years of experience with drone photography.A strong portfolio showcasing travel/hotel industry work (F&B/Spa) is essential.Experience with a leading agency or global luxury brand is highly preferred.Advanced photography skills (manual settings, lighting, depth of field) with a focus on social media composition.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) and Mac OS.In-depth understanding of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.Proven capability to manage multiple projects, client communications, and direct on-set talent.Willingness to travel frequently (approximately 3 times/month); a valid passport is required.BenefitsCompetitive base salary: $75,000 - $85,000, based on experience and location.Commission opportunities available.Eligibility for a year-end discretionary bonus.Monthly cell phone stipends offered.Company-sponsored medical, dental, and vision insurance.401K plan with employer matching.Accrued paid time off (PTO).Birthday PTO offered.Flexible Release Fridays for better work-life balance.Hotel trade options with our prestigious clients (complimentary stays across our portfolio).Hybrid work schedule (2-3 days in the office with remote Fridays).Discounts on Corporate ClassPass memberships.Reduced rates on pet insurance.Milestone gifts after 1, 5, and 10 years of service.Annual holiday and summer parties, along with regular social events.Continuous training and development opportunities provided.All applicants must possess work authorization for the country where they apply, without requiring employer sponsorship for a visa.
