High School Teaching/CTE Teacher Maintains professional competence through participation in in-service education activities provided by the district and/or in self-selected professional growth activities Communicates with families to create a partnership around student learning by providing information about the instructional program and the progress of their child(ren); advocates the special needs of the students with the school and community. Participates in curriculum and other developmental programs within the school of assignment and/or on a district level. Ability to cooperate with the school faculty and administration in the development of a coherent program of instruction. Thorough knowledge of content and pedagogy necessary for effective instruction; enthusiasm for, and imagination and creativity in teaching the necessary skills for academic success; and commitment to the education of all students.
