Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and creative Dance Photographer and Editor to capture the energy, artistry, and emotion of dance performances and rehearsals. Duties • Capture high-quality photographs during dance performances, rehearsals, and related events, emphasizing movement, expression, and artistry • Edit photos using tools like Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, Capture One, ensuring accurate color management and artistic manipulation • Collaborate with choreographers, dancers, and artistic directors to understand project goals and deliver tailored visual content • Manage digital assets efficiently, organizing files for easy access and future use • Maintain a keen eye for detail in art direction, ensuring each shot aligns with creative vision and technical standards Requirements • Proven experience in photography within a performing arts or dance context • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications including Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere; familiarity with Capture One and Final Cut Pro is a plus • Strong understanding of color management principles and color theory to produce vibrant yet natural images • Skilled in post-production techniques such as photo manipulation, video editing, and art direction • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with creative teams • A portfolio demonstrating expertise in dance photography or videography is highly desirable Your talent will help showcase the beauty of dance while honing your skills across multiple creative platforms.
