Digital Marketing Internship for nyc-based designer (virtual)

With nearly 30MM Americans involved in knit/crochet in the year 2016, and the rise of interest in fiber arts throughout the pandemic, there is a huge potential for growth in the knit/crochet pattern market. If you're a digital marketer passionate about crafting, fashion, or are simply interested in participating in a rapidly growing industry, then please read on to learn more about this position! Independent crochet designer seeking a digital marketing intern to assist on a myriad of responsibilities, some of which include: -creating and deploying social media posts and advertisements on Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok and Twitter -writing copy and testing performance of different tones, character lengths, etc., to determine the most effective communication techniques -driving engagement on social media platforms by engaging with relevant accounts and planning interactive experiences like giveaways, IG lives, collabs -managing operations for Etsy shop, personal website, and other selling channels, including optimizing listings, analyzing traffic data and developing insights to ultimately improve reach and conversion rate -perform industry news scans to ensure we're up-to-date on best practices, to understand trends and to act quickly on opportunities Ideally you are someone who: -has at least 1 year of digital marketing experience, or is studying digital marketing at an accredited university -is comfortable working on social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook) and can effectively run advertisements and create content that can be properly analyzed -experience with researching, using Google Analytics / Trends and excel -strong communication and organization skills, must be able to connect with our audience and represent the brand, also must be able to manage multiple deadlines and areas of business and keep records of actions taken -must have an understanding of the knit/crochet industry, or be willing to learn about and research the industry -exposure to platforms such as Wix, Canva, Etsy, a plus! -some experience with photography, photo and video editing also a plus! -must be able to work unpaid (with the potential for an hourly pay in the future) can receive university credit for internship if desired -must be available a minimum of 10 hours a week, virutally (optional to meet initially in person if based in NYC) If you're interested, please respond to this listing or email directly your resume, and feel free to attach a cover letter if you'd like.
