Digital Producer

The Digital Producer leads the transition from broadcast focused newsrooms to multi-platform newsrooms through active daily example; creating/editing and writing original content beyond that which is produced for on-air.

* Expert understanding of Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, and other social media platforms
* Uses our social media and website to build and reinforce brand recognition
* Collaborates with reporters on story construction and publication
* Shoots and edits content for digital
* Finds new ways to engage viewers through social media
* Reviews copy and will correct errors in content, grammar and punctuation, following prescribed editorial style and formatting guidelines
* Gathers information about events through research, interviews, experience, or attendance at political, news, sports, artistic, social, or other functions
* Pitches on-brand local and trending stories
* Ensures that all content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality
* Builds and calendars digital campaigns to promote local shows and specials
* Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills:

* + Social media reel
+ Experience/education in journalism
+ Proficiency in Premier Pro, Photoshop, Canva, Capcut, Dreamweaver, and Basic HTML preferred
+ Highly motivated and able to work independently while meeting deadlines
+ Maintains positive work environment through active team participation and cooperation with co-workers in all departments
+ Responds positively to feedback
