Digitization Lab Assistant Pay: Starting at $18.68/ hr Start Date: as soon as possible Available Hours: 16 - 19 hours per week between the hours of 7am and 5pm; M-F; primarily in-person in the labs with some possible remote duties Stanford University Libraries is accepting applications for a Digitization Lab Assistant to aid in the digitization of library and archival collection materials in support of teaching, learning and research. Duties include, but are not limited to, the movement of physical items, content preparation, operating digitization devices and/or a photography rig (training provided), quality control, tracking materials and their digital images, file management tasks, and other administrative tasks. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Required): • Attention to detail • Willingness to learn • Trustworthiness • General computer skills, and ability to quickly learn and master computer programs • Ability to work under deadlines with general guidance is essential • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Demonstrated ability to complete detailed work accurately in a timely manner • Access to a computer and internet for work-from-home tasks Desired Qualifications: Experience with databases and files. Located on the main Stanford University campus in Palo Alto. This is NOT a design position.
