Key Responsibilities

Capture dynamic action shots at live dance competitions and events.Set up and test camera equipment while ensuring all gear is ready for quick breakdown and transport.Adhere to event schedules and shot lists to guarantee complete coverage of dance performances and award ceremonies.Collaborate with video, streaming, and production teams for seamless event documentation.Efficiently import, back up, and organize image files using professional photo management tools.Perform color correction, cropping, and basic retouching to achieve DanceBUG's high-quality standards.Follow brand guidelines and adhere to file-naming conventions for prompt media delivery.Communicate professionally with event staff, studios, dancers, and families.Travel to various regional events across North America, with flexible hours including evenings and weekends.Maintain and troubleshoot your camera gear, ensuring reliability in fast-paced environments.Essential Skills

Proficiency in sports and action photography.Experience in event and performance photography.Strong camera operation skills (DSLR/mirrorless).Expertise in fast shutter, low-light, and motion-freeze techniques.Knowledge of both off-camera and on-camera lighting techniques.Experience with Adobe Lightroom.Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop or similar editing software.Familiarity with digital asset management and backup workflows.Skill in color correction and basic retouching.Adept at collaborating with live production teams.
