DanceBUG is a leader in Dance Media and Software, boasting 25 years of innovation in serving the dance community. We capture tens of thousands of performances annually and equip studios with exceptional photography, videography, streaming, and competition software.

The Role

We are looking for talented event and sports photographers to document vibrant dance performances nationwide. You will travel to various dance competitions and recitals, working in dynamic lighting environments, to produce outstanding images that showcase each dancer’s finest moments.

What You'll Do

Capture live dance performances under low-light and stage lighting conditions.Quickly adjust exposure, ISO, and white balance for optimal photography results.Utilize DanceBUG's software tools to manage and back up images.Upload or ship event media as needed.Collaborate with onsite teams and managers.Travel across the country by car or plane for assigned events (DanceBUG will cover all travel expenses).Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a photographer (event, sports, concert, theater, or live action).Proficient in manual camera settings in varying light conditions.Comfortable working long hours during productions.Valid U.S. driver's license and proximity to an airport (within 1 hour).Clear criminal background and vulnerable sector check required.Equipment Needed

2 professional DSLR or mirrorless camera bodies (Canon, Nikon, or Sony only).2 of the following lenses (F2.8 preferred): 24-70 mm, 24-105 mm, 24-120 mm, 70-200 mm.4 or more 64 GB memory cards, 2 or more batteries & charger, and a monopod.Perks & Pay

Compensation of $150-$400 per day.All travel, accommodation (single room), and transportation costs covered.Paid travel time.Paid training sessions in January & February 2026.Equipment stipend of $700.Key Dates

Virtual Training: 4 hours per week in January.

On-Site Training: 2 events in January & February.

Priority Weekends: Feb 27-Mar 1, Mar 6-8, Mar 13-15, Mar 20-22, Mar 27-29; Apr 10-12, Apr 17-19, Apr 24-26; May 1-3.

Additional events will be available through July for interested photographers.
