Event Photographer

About the position

Shootday is seeking event photographers in Dayton for paid freelance assignments. The photographer captures memorable moments at a range of events and delivers high-quality RAW images that tell visual stories. Shootday handles editing, project operations, logistics, and client communication, allowing photographers to focus on shooting. Assignments are paid per project, and photographers may accept or decline them according to their availability. Opportunities include events for Fortune 100 companies and startups, with potential for repeat work and longer-term professional relationships.

Responsibilities

Capture high-quality RAW photos and deliver them on time.Photograph a variety of events, including corporate functions, product launches, and social gatherings.Capture key moments, candid shots, and the atmosphere of each event.Adapt the photography approach to the needs of each event.Collaborate with other photographers when needed.Use professional camera gear, including cameras, lenses, and lighting equipment.Guide participants and arrange shots to achieve the best results.Communicate effectively with clients and the Shootday team.Requirements

Proven experience in event photography and a strong portfolio.Good communication skills and a professional attitude.Ability to work in different environments and across event types.Reliable transportation to event locations.Ability to work as part of a team when needed.A photography degree or equivalent experience.Located in or able to commute to Dayton.Legal authorization to work in the United States.Own and maintain photography gear.Upload a CV and complete the application form; submit a portfolio and brief introduction.Benefits
