What You’ll Do • Travel from our Sacramento office to event venues (sometimes in surrounding cities such as Napa, Sonoma, or San Francisco) • Professionally set up and break down our portable mini portrait studio (lights, stands, backdrops, camera, laptop) • Pose and photograph guests, ensuring flattering, high-quality portraits that match our studio’s signature style • Engage with guests in a friendly, charismatic way to make them comfortable and confident in front of the camera • Manage files, perform quick Lightroom edits on-site when required, and maintain organized workflows • Troubleshoot any technical issues with gear, software, or lighting as they arise • Represent our brand professionally and uphold our reputation for excellent client experiences • Keep calm and collected in demanding situations while still delivering a fun, polished guest experience What We’re Looking For Must-Haves (Non-Negotiable) • 1–2 years experience in people-based photography, with a strong understanding of posing and lighting • Experience using Lightroom for basic adjustments and exports • Confidence interacting with and directing people in busy, high-pressure environments • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills (especially with tech) • Excellent communication skills— must be able to respond quickly via text, phone, or email for scheduling and updates • Availability 2-4 events per month primarily on Friday afternoons through the weekend • Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs • A reliable car, valid driver’s license, insurance, and clean driving record • Ability to be responsible and professional in both demeanor and appearance Nice-to-Haves • Experience in studio portraiture or event photography • Customer-facing experience in retail, hospitality, or sales • Comfort with hauling and setting up gear • Proactive, high-energy personality who enjoys fast-paced, social work environments The Perks • Working at beautiful, high-end events with interesting and dynamic people • A flexible gig-based schedule (most events booked a month in advance) • Opportunities to grow your skills with ongoing feedback and training from a team of career photographers • Being part of a fun, passionate, and professional team that loves creating unforgettable experiences.
