Family Photographer — Austin, TX

TK Photography Austin is hiring family photographers to join our growing Austin team. Family sessions are our highest-volume service — outdoor lifestyle sessions capturing parents, kids, grandparents, and everyone in between across Austin's most beautiful locations.

Austin is one of the best cities in the country for outdoor family photography. We shoot at the Barton Creek Greenbelt, Lady Bird Lake, Mayfield Park, Pease Park, bluebonnet fields in the Hill Country, and dozens of other iconic Austin-area locations. Bluebonnet season (March–April) is one of our busiest periods and every family in Austin wants those shots. You need to be comfortable directing in golden-hour light with kids running everywhere.

Family sessions range from intimate couples with a new baby to multigenerational gatherings with 15+ people. The ability to quickly establish rapport, keep energy high, and make the experience fun for kids of all ages is essential. Real, genuine moments — not stiff, posed portraits — are what we deliver. If you can get a toddler to laugh and a teenager to unroll their eyes, you'll thrive here.

Sessions typically run 60–90 minutes. You shoot and upload. Our cullers pull selects. Our editors retouch and deliver the gallery. You never have to touch a slider or answer a client email. We coordinate all session logistics including location selection, parking, and timing based on light conditions.

This is a part-time or contractor role. You set your availability and we slot bookings based on it. Austin's photography season runs year-round, with peak demand in spring (bluebonnets), fall (golden light), and around the holidays.
