The Video Editor / Photographer Work Study position provides hands-on experience in photography, videography, and post production for ArtU Esports. Working onsite and reporting directly to the Esports Director, the student will support the capture of photo and video content during matches, tournaments, events, and other program activities. The student will gain experience editing and polishing media for social, promotional, and design use while collaborating with the program’s Graphic Designers to provide high quality visual assets. 

**Responsibilities:**

* Edit short form video content for ArtU Esports social media during weeks without scheduled events.
* Collaborate with Broadcast Talent and Production Support to develop and produce recurring social content.
* Capture and edit player interviews, team features, behind the scenes content, promotional pieces, and other program content.
* Maintain an organized library of photo and video assets that can be used by the Content and Graphic Design teams.
* Assist with capturing photo and video content during ArtU Esports matches, tournaments, events, and other program activities.
* Edit and polish photos for use across ArtU Esports social media, promotional materials, and program communications.
* Prepare edited photography and visual assets for use by the Graphic Designer (Brand) and Graphic Designer (Events).
* Edit video content including event recaps, highlights, promotional videos, and other short form content.
* Assist with identifying and capturing important moments during events for future promotional and archival use.
* Learn and apply basic color correction, photo retouching, video editing, and media organization techniques.
* Organize and maintain photo and video files so assets can be easily accessed by other student roles and program staff.
* Collaborate with the Graphic Designers to understand upcoming asset and photography needs.
* Participate in creative reviews and incorporate feedback from the Esports Director.
* Develop hands on experience in event photography, videography, photo editing, and post production within an esports environment.

**Qualifications:**

* Interest in photography, videography, video editing, content creation, games, or esports.
* Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, or similar creative software.
* Basic understanding of photography and video composition.
* Interest in learning photo retouching, color correction, and video editing techniques.
* Comfortable working with cameras or interested in learning photography and videography equipment.
* Strong attention to detail and organization.
* Able to manage media files and multiple creative assignments.
* Comfortable receiving feedback and iterating on creative work.
* Able to collaborate with other student roles and program staff.
* Portfolio or examples of previous photography, video, or editing work preferred.
* Previous esports experience is helpful, but not required.
* Ability to attend some evening or weekend events as needed.

**Pay Rate:**
$19.61 per hour or approved rate for specific position
