Field Technician

Job Summary: Responsible for completing on-site field work activities associated with each field services project. Field Work – Perform field work in accordance with client work orders, that includes but not limited to measuring structural steel, appurtenances, working at various elevations on telecommunication structures, ground walk data collections and flying UAS equipment. of equipment and being exposed to all types of weather. • Computer Skills – Proficiency in the use of personal computers, including spreadsheet and word processing programs • Technical Knowledge - Capable of using various tools to collect dimensions and elevations, including basic photography equipment • Interpersonal – Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to work in teams and with personnel at all organizational levels in a user-friendly manner • Attention to Detail – Skilled at inspecting large amounts of visual information for errors or inconsistencies • Problem Solving – Proven ability to assess situations and overcome obstacles to deliver solutions Equivalent Education/Experience • Graduation from High School • College and/or technical school preferred • Experience as a tower technician or in a related position within the industry preferred but not required • OSHA-10 Certification preferred • CPR/First Aid preferred • Competent Climber Certification preferred The field work portion may require long hours, working in all weather conditions, extensive walking to collect data, travel with short notice, working in remote and challenging locations accessible only by 4WD or off road vehicle; plus conformance to tight deadlines, quick turnarounds, fast-paced schedules, and working autonomously.
