Technical Manager for Photo Film Processing Lab Hi, PhotoLounge is seeking a person with high technical aptitude to lead the tech side of our film lab. We’re proud that our entire film lab consists of completely rebuilt and refurbished equipment that is in top condition, and our goal is to ensure it remains this way. So much has changed in the modern photo lab and yet film processing and film processing equipment is still a collection of gears, pumps, tanks, sensors, computers, and chemistry. This could be at a serious hobby/ maker level but it has to be demonstrated +You’re decent with computers and computer hardware +You’re a good diagnostician and can think through a problem, likely causes, and the best path to a fix +You like to master a process to the degree that you understand multiple variables and can control them and deliver the outcome you determined to achieve +You’re extremely curious about how things work, AND you’re also resourceful in figuring out everything you need by finding the sources of information +You ask good questions and can get along and hold your own with other very technical people +You have a sense of urgency and personal commitment to getting systems in line and at peak performance. There are many different types of people and backgrounds who have done really well in this role over the years and we can be good at spotting when skills and aptitude are a match even when there would be a learning curve.
