I am seeking children (ages 5–10) and older adults (ages 60+) to participate in a fine art portrait series. This project is being produced as part of my graduate studies in Photography at Yale University School of Art. The series uses familiar symbols and aesthetics of American culture as a starting point, reworking them in thoughtful and subversive ways to examine ideas of value, visibility, and belonging. Subjects will be photographed in carefully constructed, studio-style portraits that feel bold, symbolic, and playful as they confront the current state of American politics. Photographed by Eric Hart Jr., an award-winning visual artist recognized by Forbes 30 Under 30, Out100, and Doritos Changemakers, whose practice explores Black identity and expression with care and imagination.
