Freelance Action Sports Photographer

DanceBUG Inc. is actively seeking a passionate Freelance Action Sports Photographer to capture the excitement of dynamic dance competitions and live performances. This role involves traveling to various events, collaborating closely with production and streaming teams, and skillfully photographing fast-paced action in diverse lighting conditions. We are looking for a photographer who enjoys traveling, communicates effectively with clients and performers, and possesses a keen eye for movement and storytelling in the performing arts.

Responsibilities

Travel to dance competitions and live events across North America to capture high-quality sports and live action photography.Plan, shoot, and deliver dynamic images that highlight performers, key moments, and event atmosphere under fast-paced conditions.Collaborate on-site with production, live streaming, and event staff to ensure cohesive media coverage and meet client expectations.Manage and maintain professional camera equipment, lenses, lighting, and backups to ensure reliability during events.Edit, retouch, and prepare images for digital delivery and online galleries using industry-standard software.Follow brand, quality, and file-naming standards to ensure consistent output and efficient post-event workflows.Communicate professionally with event organizers, studio staff, dancers, and families while working on location.Meet tight deadlines for photo delivery while traveling frequently and working evenings and weekends as event schedules require.Required Skills
