DanceBUG is on the lookout for talented photographers for our February-June competition season. If you have experience photographing fast-paced events such as sports, concerts, or dance, we will provide training on our specialized workflow and the nuances of dance photography.
Your role will focus on capturing stunning images while we take care of the editing!

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Capturing dynamic dance performances in challenging lighting conditionsPhotographing action shots that are sharp and well-timedCollaborating with DanceBUG’s media team during live competitionsEfficiently backing up and transferring images using our established workflowWe Provide Training:
No prior dance photography experience is necessary! Every new hire will partake in virtual training sessions in January, followed by a minimum of two live training events alongside our experienced Senior Photographers before you start working independently. If you can photograph action, we can teach you the dance!
Your Photography Experience:

SportsDanceConcertsTheatreGymnasticsFigure SkatingCheerleadingLive EventsYou should be comfortable photographing in manual mode with continuous autofocus (Servo/AF-C) under varying lighting situations. Note that experience in portrait, studio, real estate, landscape, product, or architectural photography alone does not qualify for this role.

Must be authorized to work in the United StatesReside within approximately one hour of a major airportAvailable for regular weekend travel during the seasonHave a valid U.S. driver's licensePossess a passport or REAL ID-compliant driver's licenseComfortable with driving distances of 5-6 hours when necessaryAble to work long production days and lift items weighing up to 25 lbsMust successfully complete a criminal background checkEquipment Needed:

Two Canon, Nikon, or Sony mirrorless camera bodiesConstant-aperture zoom lens (24-105mm, 24-120mm, 24-70mm or 35-150mm)70-200mm zoom lensf/2.8 is preferred; f/4 is acceptableFour 64GB+ memory cards and a compatible card readerA minimum of three batteries and two chargersA monopodPlease note: DSLR cameras and other brands are not compatible with DanceBUG's proprietary photography system.
