Freelance Photographer

Established in 1834 as one of Pennsylvania's earliest public school districts, LMSD is recognized for its tradition of academic excellence, innovation, and strong community involvement. The District supports over 7,300 students across six elementary schools, two middle schools, and two high schools, offering a multidisciplinary academic program and diverse co-curricular opportunities. Role Description The Freelance Photographer will be responsible for capturing high-quality images that showcase the vibrancy of Lower Merion School District’s activities, events, and achievements. Qualifications • Proficiency in photography, experience with both candid and staged shots, and an understanding of lighting and composition • Advanced skills in photo editing and retouching software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom) • Knowledge of digital file formats and specifications for both digital and print media • Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with students, staff, and the communications team effectively • Ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines • Experience in photographing educational environments or community-focused events is a plus • A portfolio demonstrating a range of photography styles and skills • Access to professional camera equipment and editing tools is required
