Overview
We’re partnering with a client seeking an experienced
event photographer
to capture a high-end networking dinner attended by venture capitalists, investors, and founders. This is an intimate, invite-only gathering focused on meaningful connections and conversation.
The ideal photographer has a strong editorial eye and can capture candid, natural moments that reflect the tone of a premium, relationship-driven environment.

Event Details

Format:
Cocktail hour, seated dinner, and networking
Guest Count:
~15–20 attendees
Venue:
Fine-dining restaurant in Redwood City, CA
Environment:
Upscale, low-light, highly curated setting

Responsibilities

Capture
candid, documentary-style photography
throughout the event
Photograph key moments including:
Guest arrivals and ambiance
Small-group networking interactions
Natural conversations and engagement moments
Dinner service and toast moments (if applicable)
Take a mix of
wide, medium, and close-up shots
Highlight the overall atmosphere, including lighting, venue details, and guest experience
Work discreetly within a private, high-trust environment

Style & Approach

Editorial, documentary-style imagery (natural, not overly posed)
Strong focus on
authentic interactions and storytelling
Ability to work in
low-light environments
using ambient lighting
Minimal use of flash (bounce/diffused only if needed)

Deliverables

100–120 professionally edited, high-resolution images
20 highlight images delivered within 24 hours
Full gallery delivered within 3 business days
Final files delivered in JPEG format (via shared drive or file transfer)

Requirements

Proven experience photographing
events, corporate gatherings, or editorial-style content
Strong portfolio showcasing candid/event photography
Ability to work independently and blend seamlessly into upscale environments
Must provide your own professional photography equipment
Reliable, detail-oriented, and responsive

Dress Code:
All black or upscale business attire
Confidentiality:
Discretion is required; no capturing sensitive materials (e.g., screens, documents)
Usage Rights:
All images will be owned by the client for marketing and promotional use
