Upper Atmosphere is a luxury boutique on Magazine Street in New Orleans. We curate elevated, one-of-a-kind fashion experiences for a diverse and style-forward clientele. We are building something intentional, beautiful, and undeniably New Orleans — and we need a visual creative who can bring that to life.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a talented freelance photographer and content creator to serve as our in-house visual partner. You will work closely with our Social Media Manager to shoot and produce all brand photography, campaign content, product imagery, and event coverage. This is a creative role with real ownership — your eye will shape how the world sees Upper Atmosphere.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Shoot all product photography, lookbook campaigns, and editorial content

- Cover in-store events, pop-ups, and brand activations

- Collaborate with the Social Media Manager on content planning and visual direction

- Assist with or lead styled shoots using models, mannequins, or AI model tools

- Edit and deliver final images and video clips in a timely manner

- Maintain a consistent, elevated visual identity across all content

- Bring professional equipment including camera body, lenses, and lighting

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Portfolio that demonstrates fashion, editorial, or lifestyle photography

- Experience shooting in retail, boutique, or brand environments preferred

- Strong editing skills — Lightroom, Photoshop, or equivalent

- Video capability is a strong plus

- Reliable, professional, and collaborative

- Based in New Orleans or available to work on site regularly

- Passion for fashion, luxury, and visual storytelling

COMPENSATION

- Freelance / per shoot or monthly retainer based on scope

- Rate is negotiable based on experience and portfolio

- Potential to grow into a permanent role as the brand scales
