Freelance Photographers, Videographers + Technical Assistants

Mateo & Company is growing our freelance team and looking for photographers, videographers and technically minded creative assistants to work with us on upcoming events, productions and projects.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO IT ALL

We are building a versatile freelance roster with people who have different strengths across photography, video and technical production.

You do not need to be a photographer AND videographer AND technical assistant. If you have experience or foundational knowledge in one or more of these areas, we want to hear from you.

PHOTOGRAPHERS + VIDEOGRAPHERS

We are looking for people who already have a good foundation and understanding of their craft.

If you have the technical knowledge and a strong eye, we can help train and develop you within the Mateo & Company luxury shooting style, workflow and standards.

TECHNICAL + PRODUCTION ASSISTANTS

You do not need to be an experienced photographer or videographer.

We are looking for people who are technically inclined and have some familiarity with cameras, lighting, computers, printers, production equipment or creative technology.

We are happy to train the right people, but some foundational knowledge or technical aptitude is preferred.

WHAT YOU COULD BE DOING

Depending on your experience and the project, opportunities could include:

Photographing events or assisting our photography team
Videography or assisting our video team
Photo and video shoot assistance
Lighting and equipment assistance
Technical support for The Mateo Booth portrait activations
Printer setup, operation and troubleshooting
Event and production setup
Editing, file organization and production support
Photo/video related project work
Remote or office based creative and technical assistance

WE WEAR A LOT OF HATS

Creative production requires versatility.

A photographer may occasionally assist on a production. A videographer may help with technical setup. Someone who starts as an assistant may grow into additional shooting opportunities as their skills develop.

The more you know, the more opportunities we may have to work together.

FREELANCE + PROJECT BASED

These are freelance, project based opportunities, not full time positions.

Work will vary based on our production schedule and may include weekday, evening and weekend events, on location productions and occasional remote or office based projects.

People who are reliable, professional, technically minded, willing to learn and comfortable working as part of a team.
