Job Summary
Art Rich Photography is looking for a reliable, energetic Freelance Sports & Activities Photographer to photograph high school sporting events, clubs, activities, and other school events throughout the school year.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys photography, sports, and being around high school activities. You’ll work independently at assigned events, capturing the action, personalities, and moments that help tell the story of each school year.
What We’re Looking For
Experience with sports, event, or action photography preferred, but we’re willing to consider photographers with strong photography skills and a great eye.Ability to anticipate and capture fast-moving action and candid moments.Comfortable working independently and moving around busy sporting events.Reliable and able to commit to assigned events.Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.Comfortable working with a digital camera and basic photo organization/editing.A professional, friendly, and easygoing personality when working around students, coaches, staff, and spectators.Access to your own camera and appropriate photography equipment.The Important Stuff
Yearbook deadlines matter! Our photos are often used for school yearbooks, so getting images uploaded and submitted on time is an important part of the job. We’ll provide information about each event, deadlines, and what types of images we’re looking for.
You’ll have the freedom to work your own style and capture the event in a way that feels natural to you. We’re looking for photographers who can get the important shots while also finding those unexpected moments that make an event memorable.
Compensation
$60 per assigned event + mileage reimbursement.
This is a freelance, event-based position with flexible scheduling. The number of assignments will vary throughout the school year depending on the schools, sports, and activities we are covering.
