Role Description The Freelance Wedding Photographer will capture wedding ceremonies, receptions, and related events on-site in Atlanta, GA as part of a contract engagement. Responsibilities include photographing key moments throughout the wedding day, directing couples and groups for posed shots, and documenting candid interactions, décor, and venue details. The role involves coordinating shot lists with clients or planners, scouting locations and lighting, and managing timelines to ensure all agreed-upon coverage is delivered. The photographer will also review and select images, perform basic post-processing, and deliver digital files according to Lux Graphy’s quality standards and deadlines. This position requires reliable attendance for scheduled events, professional interaction with clients and vendors, and adherence to brand guidelines while maintaining personal creative style.

Qualifications

Strong wedding photography skills, including composition, lighting, and camera operation, with a portfolio showcasing weddings or similar events.Proficiency with professional photography equipment and editing software (e.g., DSLR or mirrorless cameras, Lightroom, Photoshop, or equivalent tools).Excellent client-facing skills, including clear communication, a calm demeanor under time pressure, and the ability to guide couples and groups for portraits.Reliable time management and organization, including the ability to follow shot lists, coordinate with planners, and meet delivery deadlines.Ability to work on-site in Atlanta, GA, including evenings and weekends, and to stand, move, and carry equipment throughout extended event coverage.Experience working as a freelance or contract photographer, including familiarity with contracts, invoicing, and professional conduct at events.Attention to detail in image selection and post-processing, ensuring color accuracy, consistent style, and high-resolution deliverables.Beneficial qualifications include prior wedding or event photography experience, knowledge of Atlanta-area venues, and backup equipment for cameras, lenses, and storage.
