Freelance Wedding Photographer Assistant

Our team of freelancers captures weddings, engagements, and elopements for couples throughout the Sacramento metro area, the Central Valley, and across Northern California. We're creatives with a passion for photography, video production, filmmaking, and storytelling — and we'd love to tell you more about our team! You’re Perfect For This Role If: • You’re new to wedding photography and don’t know where to start • You’ve shot at least 3 events (photography or videography) • Highly preferable: You’ve covered at least 1 wedding • You’re a seasoned photographer/videographer who knows their way around professional equipment • You get genuinely excited about love stories and want to be part of someone’s happily-ever-after • You love to travel within 150 miles of Sacramento Your Equipment Requirements: • A camera with dual memory card slots (because backup plans save the day) • Prime and zoom lenses at f/2.8 or lower across multiple focal ranges • Experience with flash and lighting equipment • Reliable transportation to reach weddings within 150 miles of Sacramento • Extra batteries and SD cards Just pure creativity • Real-world mentoring from experienced lead photographers and videographers on every shoot • Opportunities to build your portfolio with some of Northern California’s most beautiful wedding venues • We’re looking for photographers ready to capture weddings with us throughout 2026
