As is typical for graduate programs with one full-time faculty member who is also the director – while on sabbatical, Bill will retain (1)leadership of the admissions process in spring 2026, and (2) serve as consultant on contracting and budget matters over the spring andsummer. You will assume the other half of a director’s responsibilities – specifically, those relating to the day-to-day operation of theprogram – including: • advising & mentoring the graduate students, • representing P+M&S at Graduate Studies and institutional meetings, • managing the Graduate Program Assistant, • contracting & making payments to vendors and guests, • participating in student recruitment activities, • maintaining the program space & equipment, • and, with the support of Office of Graduate Studies staff and campus partners: managing the program facilities, program expenditures (including supplies), and program participation in MICA GRAD SHOW 2026. Note as well that you are expected to participate in Commencement; specific dates will be shared with you inadvance. You will not be considered for any job for which you have not specifically applied.
