Full-time Graphic/ Product Designer

Manhattan based Gift and Home Décor importer is looking to add a full-time graphic designer with strong design skills. We are seeking a highly creative, fast paced individual to support the merchandising team and create original artwork. We are in step with current trends and have the ability to react quickly to client needs, so the designer must be able to work on a deadline driven schedule with quick turnaround. RESPONSIBILITIES: Create art under the direction of the merchandising team Prepare artwork for packaging and brand expansion materials Product photography Interaction with overseas factories Light administrative duties REQUIREMENTS: Skilled in Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop 2 years experience in graphic design relating to Home Decor products 2 years photography skills is necessary Excellent organizational skills and self-discipline a must Experience working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment Home Décor product knowledge a plus Excellent freehand drawing skills Keen eye for color Qualified applicants should submit a cover letter, resume and salary level
