We're hiring at Newtonville Camera, and I'd like to tell you a little about us
and what we’re looking for in a potential Newtonville Camera team member. **We
are a real camera store.** Every one of our team members loves photography,
and we love to share that love of photography with our clients. And
Newtonville Camera is not your ordinary retail employment experience - we're
not a mega-chain-store. We're an independent and locally owned, family
business. Join our team and get paid to share your love of photography! The
first requirement for consideration is that you must love photography. You
don't have to be a professional photographer, but you must at least enjoy
taking pictures. You must have experience with digital photography - and
experience with film photography is a plus. The second requirement is that you
must be able to be patient and capable of enthusiastically explaining
photography concepts to clients who are new to photography, or who are looking
to expand their photography capabilities. The third requirement is that you
must be a good salesperson. You must excel at being able to show clients the
value of the services, products, and accessories that we sell - and to be able
to truthfully and knowledgeably explain why more expensive products and
services are worth the extra expense. The fourth requirement is that you must
be a team-oriented and personable worker. We all pitch in to service our
clients, fulfill orders, keep the store clean, improve the client experience,
and improve our workspace. The fifth requirement is that you must also be able
to be independent and self-motivated. You are eager to autonomously complete
all tasks assigned to you - efficiently and with careful consideration. We
