Do you have publishing design experience? We would love to see your work. The ideal candidate will be able to learn quickly and meet the following expectations: • Ability to multi-task and work quickly under tight deadlines • Work well in a team environment and/or independently • Have a great design sense • Strong concept and “design as a craft” skill • Interest in popular culture, including video games • Have a “get the job done right the first time” attitude • Works efficiently with strategic management of time • Works gracefully with diverse and demanding project managers under tight deadlines • Takes direction well and in a spirit of collaboration • Enjoys publishing and a commercial focused environment Requirements: • Must be detail oriented and organized • Great communication skills (both verbal and written) • Strong typography skills • 4-color printing experience • Understands basic marketing and branding concepts • Experience and proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator • Bonus software knowledge would include Sketch-Up, Blender, and Lightroom • We currently are looking for a full-time “in-house” designer • Please craft a cover letter that communicates who you are, your strengths, and why you are excited to work at Dark Horse (feel free to add the salary requirements in the letter).
