Graphic Designer/Artists

We are looking for a creative thinker to develop concepts and create graphic materials for various print and digital marketing channels. Candidates should be able to provide an online portfolio that displays a strong sense of design knowledge, typography, use of color, photography, illustration, and layout. Projects will range in size and scope and will involve working closely with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams. Prepare design plan, concept and layout with limited visual direction in accordance with corporate brand guidelines Maintain and follow best practices for versioning and quality control by anticipating feedback and proactively suggesting and implementing changes Find compelling images and graphics to support the content message factually and emotionally Produce high quality, PowerPoint presentations and other presentation materials with particular emphasis on accuracy, speed, and consistency in layout, design and overall look and feel Develop graphics, icons, charts and data visualizations to communicate complex concepts in an elegant, simple and clear format Design a suite of print collateral materials to support various events or programs (name tags, agenda, bio books, signage, posters, etc.) Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design preferable; Degree in marketing or advertising considered with previous graphic design experience Experience with design software and graphics editing tools, including the Adobe suite Ability to solve problem independently, prioritize across multiple projects simultaneously and meet all deadlines with flawless deliverables Ability to be creative within the brand and understand mission, nuance of the nonprofit world and bring warmth and human elements to all materials Experience with HTML/CSS and other web design skills are desirable Familiarity with design techniques Understanding of visual elements (layout, type, and fonts) Excellent communication skills Teamwork skills A keen eye for detail Time management and multitasking skills Detail-oriented and strong organizational and communication skills Possession of creative flair, versatility, concept/visual ability and originality Ability to work work REMOTELY Hands-on experience designing across marketing channels Ability to work effectively with high levels of autonomy and ambiguity Highly proficient in all design aspects – understanding of past and current design trends.
