Assistance with a stand/pivot transfer with the help of one person is appropriate. We use a transfer pole attached to the ceiling and floor to assist with both in bed, and out of bed, transfers. The use of a gait belt is also used in this process for safety purposes. Other duties include, dressing and grooming, and assisting with dressing of the lower extremities, and help in making my bed. Necessary: monitoring for a skin breakdown.
