High-level Portrait Retoucher & Work Flow Manager

Confidential Chicago, Illinois

Key result desired: to help busy family photographer 20-30 hours a week (split between 3-4 days) to keep up with demand during her busiest time of year by retouching photos (specifically of kids, dogs, and the humans who love them) using Mac computers (Mac experience required), and then handling continued work flow of cropping, sharpening, laying out images for collages and wrap- around canvases, checking over test prints with studio owner (masks will be worn), placing final orders with labs, packaging, and helping to arrange client pick-ups (safe and contact-less). This is the perfect position for a hobbyist/amateur/professional photographer who is not currently busy with their own projects/business this year but still has time and desire for a part-time gig. If you enjoy photography and learning about it, this is a place you can learn even more. COVID SAFETY PROTOCOLS: we are primarily looking for someone who can work in the studio the majority of the time, but it can be worked out that retouching work is done remotely and you only have to come into the studio to do certain things like opening packages to check over test prints, opening packages of final artwork to re-package for client pick-up, etc. We will be making the office space as safe as possible by having plexi-glass cut & fitted to partition between work spaces, but ideally only one person is in the office at a time, and the owner can work from a separate but nearby office space.
