Holiday staff photographer

Valuable Exposure Photography is hiring Seasonal Staff Photographers for our newest studio inside the Arden Fair mall in Sacramento California.

*This is a short term position. Employment will begin early November and will conclude on December 31st 2026.

*Do not apply if you're further than 15 miles away from the Arden Mall in Sacramento California. Will not provide Visa to out of country applicants.

The perfect applicant has 2+ years of experience as a portrait photographer and is proficient in LightRoom, knows how to operate a camera in Manual mode, troubleshoot on the spot and be cheerful, amiable, respectful and patient as you will be working with mostly kids.

The role of a staff photographer include:

Providing a fun experience for the whole family
Guiding families to pose as a group and individually
Light cleaning/disinfecting between families and end of day
Selecting images with the family after the session
Editing and printing images on Adobe LightRoom

Qualities of a strong candidate:

Minimum 18 years of age, with high school diploma or equivalent experience
Detail oriented
Sales experience
Bilingual/multi lingual
Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Knowledge of photography, photo editing and posing
Sense of urgency as we will be seeing several families back to back
Punctuality to be ready for work as soon as your shift begins
Understanding that this type of position requires a large amount of responsibility to the families coming to take pictures

Knowing how to work with a full frame Nikon is a plus as we will be using Nikon D850 cameras.

Payrate starts at $20.00+ per hour dependent on your experience. There is a bonus involved with team members that excel and complete the full term of employment to the conclusion of the season (December 31st).

Tardiness and unexplained/repeated absences are not tolerated.
