Houseplant Store Manager

You’ll be working closely with the store’s owner and a small staff of part time employees and your responsibilities will include: Specific skills and experience we are looking for include: -Retail management experience (preferably within independently owned businesses) -Ability and willingness to lift heavy boxes on occasion when deliveries arrive -At least some experience with owning plants; a working knowledge of plant names and care needs for a variety of plants is a huge plus, but we can also train the right person -Computer literacy; experience with point of sale systems is a plus -Cell phone photography skills -Experience managing business pages on Instagram and Facebook; experience with Pinterest is a plus -An eye for design and the ability to keep the store’s displays looking fresh and tidy -A willingness to go above and beyond to see what needs to be done and to take care of it! You’ll notice these and take care of them without waiting to be directed -Experience setting up and managing a web store is a plus -Having an outgoing, friendly personality is super important in this role!
