Insurance Property Photographer (Part-Time / Flexible Hours)

💲 $25/hour + $0.70/mile reimbursement
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Insurance Property Photographer to conduct on-site visits to commercial properties and document building conditions for underwriting purposes. This is a field-based, independent role ideal for someone who enjoys working autonomously, driving locally, and capturing structured photo reports.
Key Responsibilities
Travel to various commercial properties (retail, apartments, offices, etc.)
Photograph building exteriors, interiors, and key systems, including: Electrical panels, water heaters, HVAC units, etc.
Follow a clear photo checklist and documentation guidelines
Ensure photos are clear, complete, and organized for reporting
Communicate professionally with property managers or tenants when needed
Typical Day
Approximately 4–5 inspection stops per day
Around 40 miles of total driving per day
Each stop typically takes 20–40 minutes
Schedule & Hours
Approximately 15 hours per week
Typical hours fall between Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Flexible scheduling for the right candidate
Example: Work 2–3 longer days instead of 5 shorter days, as long as ~15 hours/week is maintained
Requirements
Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
Comfortable driving to multiple locations per day
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and stay organized
Basic familiarity with smartphone photography (no professional gear required)
Professional and courteous communication skills
Ideal Candidate
Background in real estate, inspections, construction, or photography (a plus, not required)
Enjoys working independently in a field-based role
Comfortable interacting briefly with business owners or tenants
