Show Us You Can • Reports to Manager of Still Media, Creative Director, and Project Manager • Assist in photography administration for the daily operations of the New York Islanders • Photograph marketing, community, ticketing, retail, sponsorship, and other events as assigned • Provide metadata in support of the digital asset management database (Photo Shelter) • Handle image sourcing for internal & external photo requests • Assist in editing/curation of photography assets to be used across New York Islanders’ digital platforms • Photograph marketing and game presentation activations during home games (In game/action photography from an elevated position where needed) • Opportunity to shadow/shoot concerts/events at UBS Arena where applicable • Coordinate delivery of products for external and internal partners • Will be required periodically to lift and carry equipment (25 lbs) • Perform other duties as assigned in support of hockey and business initiatives • Ability to work nights and weekends Your Training & Talent • Preferred - 1-3 years of sports photography experience (collegiate or professional level) • Adobe Creative Cloud experience (Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere, Audition) • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint • Proficiency in Photomechanic, Adobe Bridge, or other metadata program is preferred • Knowledge of on-camera flash is a must, off camera flash is a plus • Experience with Sony Mirrorless camera systems is a plus but not required • Organizing work effectively, conceptualizing, and prioritizing objectives, and exercising independent judgment based on understanding organizational policies and activities • Critical and analytical thinking processes • Having a creative and artistic mindset • Working in a fast-paced, team environment • Organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills • Ability to meet deadlines • Strong attention to detail and a drive for perfection • Passionate about the creative process • Applications without a portfolio will not be considered Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions: • Required to sit, stand and walk • Frequent stooping, bending, pulling and pushing • Reach with hands and arms • Required to talk and hear consistently What’s in it for You • Gaining internship experience with an iconic NHL® franchise in our quest for a 5th Stanley Cup • Joining an entrepreneurial, start-up mindset • Employee discount at New York Islanders Pro Shops
