The region’s #1 monthly lifestyle print magazine, STYLE, has an immediate opening for a highly motivated, creative, and detail-oriented photographer to capture images for an array of articles (mainly food, drinks, lifestyle/people, and events)—a candidate who has the versatility to walk into any situation and emerge with a great photo and who holds a standard of excellence for every photo shoot. Schedule is Monday-Friday (approx. 20 hours per week) with occasional weekend availability. Position is a paid internship. to schedule photo appointments in a timely, professional manner Photograph food and beverages, events, organizations, and/or personalities showcasing them in a positive, creative manner Add relevant keywords to image files so the images can be recognized in search engines Ensure all pictures are appropriate, processed, and delivered in time to meet deadlines Arrange lighting and other requirements for shoots Qualifications Passionate about photography with strong attention to detail Excellent technical skills and thorough knowledge of Adobe Photoshop for image corrections The ability to work under pressure to meet tight publication deadlines Strong communication skills (over the phone, email, and in person); must be personable and professional Travel is required, so reliable transportation is a must Ability to work quickly and effectively Excellence in shot composition along with lighting (both studio and use of natural light) Must live in the Sacramento region, preferably in Placer and El Dorado Counties or Folsom Interested candidates should send their resume, cover letter, portfolio, and social media links to terry@stylemg.com.
