Overview Duarte Studios, an award winning commercial photography and video production company, is seeking a passionate and skilled grip / gaffer to join our team in a part-time or contract capacity. Candidates should have a love for their craft and possess an incredible attention for detail. They must work well in teams and maintain a positive disposition while on set, even under pressure. Requirements • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience as a grip and/or gaffer • Well versed in the setup and proper use of dollies, jibs, sliders, lighting support equipment, generators, basic electrical, cable management, and lightweight rigging. • Thorough understanding of lighting equipment (HMI, LED, Tungsten, and Florescent) • Understanding of lighting principles and techniques a plus • Experienced with industry protocols and practices for safe operation on set • Willing and able to work on smaller sets with limit grip packages when necessary • Experience and willingness to work photography sets a plus • Excellent physical stamina Compensation is commensurate with experience.
